Located in a car showroom building that's kinda run down. Not immediately spottable from the outside. Basic no frills coffeeshop vibes setup. Toilet is upstairs through a grungy unlit corridor. No service charge / gst. Nice bakes and super friendly staff, enjoyed a salmon quiche heated up :)

I’m so glad the owner decided to operate the outlet rather than through the franchise partner. Such a joy coming to Kamome for my Japanese bread craving - love both their seasonal creations and regular features. The crew are friendly and helpful, and even offer table service when there’s no service charge. Not your Instagramable (thank goodness not another hyped up) place but exactly what I love - has that neighbourhood cafe bakery vibe in Japan where staff are friendly and warm.

We heard that the owners took back the bakery cafe from the franchises. The place seems to be infused with a new life. The pastries and sandwiches have a better consistent standard and closer to the original taste.. For example the red bean butter hard roll.. With the franchisee, they used a soft roll which we felt didn't work. Now that it's a hard roll, we love it. Most people come from the neighborhood to take away so if you want to sit for a while there's always seats. Coffee is a bit weak but always hot.

I have been a fan of Kamone Bakery since its first outlet at Thomson. Today was my second visit to this outlet and I was there to takeaway a favourite bake of mine from Kamone Bakery: the Red Bean and Butter Bun. The red bean paste and the butter slab used were always of the highest quality and the bun encapsulating these was nice and substantial. And the service here at this outlet was very professional and very friendly.
